Third party Google Music client for Windows Phone now available

Gooroov

Although we're fans of Zune (or LastFM) on our Windows Telephone, on occasion nosotros get the request for a Google Music (music.google.com/) client. While nosotros're not holding our jiff for an official app from Google anytime soon, there'south no reason why devs tin't exercise it on their own.

For those who don't know, Google allows you to upload your unabridged music library to the cloud and gives you the power to stream anywhere. It's not actually a bad idea every bit it allows you lot to backup your drove, free upward hd infinite and easily download it once more when needed. The service is free for your outset twenty,000 songs which should get your started (though uploading 20K songs may take some fourth dimension). [Side notation: We're really hoping Microsoft takes SkyDrive + Zune in this management for Windows Phone eight and the desktop OS].

Gooroovster

Today, Gooroovster is now available on the Windows Phone Marketplace. The app goes for $3.99 which is on the loftier side but at that place is of course a free trial. The app has been in individual beta for weeks though and initial feedback for the app has been very loftier, making this seemingly a great solution for those with Google Music equally their principal music resource. (Beta testers volition exist getting ane last update very soon to match the released version--kudos to the dev for that).

Allowing you stream via the Zune music player nether lockscreen/background and access your unabridged library, the app is exactly what many take asked for as information technology even has a very Metro UI. For that, we're giving it our seal of blessing.

Give Gooroovster a shot here in the Market place and submit feedback and requests via the UserVoice forum.
